Amanda earned her undergraduate degree in nursing from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California, where she began her career as a registered nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Her early professional experience involved caring for premature babies and attending high-risk deliveries, alongside a specialized focus on postpartum patients and mental health issues like postpartum depression.
Driven by a desire to foster ongoing therapeutic relationships in outpatient care, Amanda pursued her Master of Science in nursing at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., specializing as a women’s health nurse practitioner. Her practice philosophy emphasizes a holistic approach that integrates the mind, body, and spirit, with a particular passion for prenatal and postpartum care, as well as sexual health.
Amanda recently married the love of her life, Kyle Petersen. They call Castle Rock, Colorado home and enjoy their two dogs, Huxley and Chief. Beyond her professional commitments, Amanda is obsessed with mastering the art of making sourdough bread. And she still finds time to indulge in her hobbies of interior design and decorating, playing the piano, and cherishing moments with her loved ones.
